Ken Male – Founder
Ken Male is the Founder of TheInfoPro and leverages over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. In 2001, Mr Male developed TheInfoPro’s unique research methodology – which allows for direct communication between the most elite IT decision makers worldwide – after recognizing the importance that market intelligence and advisory services play in both making sound decisions and understanding the conditions of the information technology competitive landscape. Prior to founding TheInfoPro, Mr Male held distinguished positions with IT providers and market research firms including Gartner, Giga, Jupiter, DEC and EMC. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and has provided industry briefings and commentary to many business and trade news organizations such as Barron’s, Forbes, CNBC, BusinessWeek, Financial Times, Investor Business Daily and The Wall Street Journal.
Marco Coulter – Research Director, Storage Practice
Marco utilizes nearly 30 years of experience in senior management and strategist positions on both the corporate and vendor sides of the IT industry. Marco’s expertise include storage, internal and external cloud, data center operations, software/hardware purchasing, software development, marketing, and product programs.
Prior to the TheInfoPro, Marco was an advisor to Enterprise Information Systems where he led the re-architecture of storage capacity and fabrics designing for a cloud-competitive future. Mr Coulter brings experience as a product line Vice President growing sales of the incubation project by 20% within one year while managing remote teams in India, Israel and China. Marco has held senior management positions in Storage Strategy and Product Management. Considered an industry expert in storage management technologies and international leadership, Marco is a sought after speaker at executive events worldwide.
Peter ffoulkes – Research Director, Servers and Virtualization Practices
Peter ffoulkes has over twenty years of diversified international experience in enterprise and high performance computing including positions in management, business and product strategy development, product marketing, sales and training with leading international information technology companies. His most recent positions were vice president of marketing at Adaptive Computing, director of outbound marketing at ClearSpeed Technology, director of marketing for high performance computing at Sun Microsystems and director and principal analyst for the Worldwide Workstation Computing program at Gartner Dataquest.
Sean Hackett – Research Director, Cloud Computing Practice
Sean Hackett has over a decade of experience as an IT industry analyst and consultant. During his career, he has closely tracked the evolution of the IT services industry. Prior to joining The InfoPro Sean worked as the Research Director for The 451 Group’s flagship Cloudscape practice.
Before joining The 451 Group Sean worked at CA Inc, where he worked in the company’s Corporate Planning and Strategy organization as a Senior Principal. In this role, he supported the company’s executive leadership team and board of directors in identifying and investigating new strategic opportunities.
Before CA, Sean directed IDC’s IT Outsourcing and Utility Computing research program, where he was at the vanguard in identifying the disruptive potential of the cloud service-delivery model. While at IDC, Sean was a frequent industry speaker on the changing dynamics of IT service delivery.
Prior to IDC, Sean worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Consultant in the firm’s Outsourcing Advisory practice. Sean was also one of seven selected from several thousand applicants to participate in Fidelity Investments prestigious Associates Management Development Program.
Sean holds an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from Bentley College.
Daniel Kennedy – Research Director, Information Security & Network Practices
Daniel Kennedy is the Research Director for Information Security and Networking at TheInfoPro, a division of The 451 Group, where he is responsible for managing all phases of the TIP research process for those two coverage areas. He is an experienced information security professional who has written for both Forbes online and Ziff Davis, has provided commentary to numerous news outlets including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and his personal blog Praetorian Prefect was recognized as one of the top five technical blogs in information security by the RSA 2010 Conference.
Prior to TheInfoPro he was a Partner in the information security consultancy Praetorian Security, LLC where he directed strategy on risk assessment and security certification. Before that he was Global Head of Information Security for D.B. Zwirn & Co. as well as Vice President of Application Security and Development Manager at Pershing LLC, a division of the Bank of New York.
Daniel holds a Master’s of Science degree in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master’s of Science in Information Assurance from Norwich University, and a Bachelors of Science in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University. He is certified as a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) from the EC-Council, a CISSP, and has a NASD Series 7 license.
